Before Lasik Eye Surgery:
Once you decide your doctor through whom you want to perform your surgery. Your referral doctor must need preliminary examines the eyes. The doctor prefers for preliminary examines should be MD with specialization in Eye or optometrist. You must take report of preliminary examination. The preliminary examination covers:
• Doctor wider the contractile aperture in the iris of the eye to write prescription.
• Examine your eyes to make sure they're healthy. This includes a glaucoma test and a retina exam.
• Take the following measurements: shape of cornea, surface of your eyes and the thickness of cornea.
• The Doctor asks you to sign consent form after detailed discussion of the risks associated with Lasik Eye Surgery and the benefits.
• If primary examination does not suggest Lasik Eye Surgery than doctor give medicine only.
Before operation the doctor gives list of instruction that you need to follow it like you need to stop wearing your contact lenses. You are not suppose to do makeup of facial or using perfume before surgery because possibility of infection are greater by using such types of products.
After Lasik Eye Surgery:
Once operation gets perform, you must take care of eyes after the surgery. The healing process needs few days to get recovery.
• In the initial stage your vision will be blurred but don't worry it will get recover after some days.
• You also feel some burning sensation for few hours after surgery. So you do not rub your eyes. If you feel more burning doctor will prescribe drugs.
• If you fee some side effect please consult your doctor immediately.
• Do not come out in the direct sunlight until your vision has improved.
• Avoid contact with water, chemicals or cosmetics.
